Registration deadline Friday, Oct. 4, for juniors

All sophomores will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, Oct. 16, as well as juniors who register by Friday, Oct. 4.
Counselor Teresa Baker said that for the sophomores, this is “considered good practice for when the real thing comes around.”
For the juniors, the test is a national merit-qualifying test and will cost $20A fee waiver is available for students who qualify. Payment is due to the bookkeeper in the front office by Friday, Oct. 4.
To be recognized as a National Merit Scholar is a big honor that could mean scholarship money for recipients.
Juniors who do not register for the PSAT will take the ASVAB test on Oct. 16.
To accommodate testing, there will be a special bell schedule:
1st period class/lunch
11th & 12th A – Lunch (12:35 – 1:10)
11th & 12th grade class time (1:10 – 1:50)
10th grade class time (12:35 – 1:10)
10th B – Lunch (1:10 – 1:50)
1:55 – 2:20 2nd Period
2:25 – 2:50 3rd Period
2:55 – 3:20 4th Period
3:25 – 3:50 5th Period
