FOOTBALL: Rockwall Heath 38, Bell 0

by Boston Billings

Sept. 8, 2015

After an exciting game last week against Keller Central, Friday’s game felt very different. Although there were some good plays for Bell throughout the game, it was a very devastating blow to their season.

Offensive and defensive struggles throughout the game prevented Bell from getting any momentum. Luck was also not on Bell’s side either. After an explosive run from Dominique Lawson that went for 30 yards, a Rockwall Heath defender stripped the ball from him and returned it for a 70-yard touchdown.

Something good Bell can pull away from this game is that Rockwall Heath is ranked in the state of Texas, so that means Bell didn’t just lose to any OK team. They also converted an amazing fake punt play on 4th down to keep one of their drives going by Dequalon Hill. The offensive line was also solid from the blocking of Brendan Weatherspoon, Brandon Sitole, and Donovan Gladden.

Even though Bell got smashed, the Raiders can still look forward to next week’s game against Midland. It’s all part of the process.
